Dec 04, 2011 First of all, check and make sure your Mac has an Intel Processor. You can do this by clicking on the Apple Symbol on the very top left of your screen. Then, click on 'About This Mac'. Look at the Processor. I love this game!! It is super fun and it's something that's easy to do as well!! As some of the other reviews say though, some games can be confusing- some games have settings to choose from (like 'normal' or 'hard') and in that space there should be instructions too on how to play that game.
The Beetle and his ball is stuck in a strange castle that seems to shift the deeper you go.
Work toghether with a shifty paddle and find the exit in this multitasking adventure!
It consumes some CPU-Time, namely about 11% on a 1 GHz G4 PowerBook and about 6% on a MacBook Pro on low CPU usage mode. This about doubles when opting for the higher CPU usage setting. I'm running Mac OS Catalina (10.15.2). This thread is archived. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. No comments yet. Be the first to share what you think! This game was made for Game Maker's Toolkit Jam 2020 in less than 48 hours
You have to control both the paddle and the beetle and take the ball to the exit (stairs).
The beetle need to hold the ball when going down the stairs,
but you can also use this catching mechanic in other tricky situation.
They complement each other,
Fjall mac os. so the beetle and the paddle can destroy stuff the other cannot.
Move paddle and bettle
Keyboard -> Arrow keys
(ASDW for the 2nd player in multiplayer)
Controller -> Joystick/D-pad
The theme was: 'Out of Control'
Thanks everyone that have played, commented and rated my game.
A lot of content and clean-up have been made.

The concept is amazing. I never thought two games working at the same time like this could be both puzzling and difficult, yet not be extremely punishing! You nailed the execution here. The music is a nice touch too.
Thanks, happy that you enjoyed it and liked the concept! :)
Twenty-one mac os. Amazing idea and aesthetic! I always like the concept of two games working together at the same time, and I think this way to tackle this was really creative! Great work and congratulations on doing so many levels!
Thanks Matheus 😊 I really liked the theme this time and even more levels and weird ideas are coming in a post jam update!
Really cool idea. Visuals and audio come together to give it an awesome feel too. Well done!
A fun and entertaining old school arcade game in which you have to keep the ball in the game as much as you can without missing your shots
What's new in Pong - Old School 1.1:

Pong - Old School is an enjoyable and addictive remake of the original PONG arcade game, first release in 1972.

Pong - Old School is an enjoyable and addictive remake of the original PONG arcade game, first release in 1972.
Pong is one of the earliest arcade video games which is basically a tennis sports game that features basic 2D graphics. Your main objective in the 1972 Pong is to defeat your opponent by dominating the simulated table tennis and scoring points against your competitor.
Old school graphics and sound effects
Thanks to Pong - Old School you can travel back in time and enjoy one of the first video games to reach mainstream popularity. Pong - Old School comes with retro graphics, intuitive game controls and a soundtrack provided by the talented young musician, Raphael Summer.
Two game modes and three ball speeds
From Pong - Old School's main window you can access the Manual, and the Settings menu or start the game. You can choose between two game modes and set the ball speed at the 'Slow', 'Normal' or 'Fast' level.
In the Survival mode you have to use your hand-eye coordination skills and extend your abilities to the virtual environment in order to stay alive. You need to return all balls as often as possible and increase your score by joggling with multiple balls at the same time.
The Multiplayer game mode allows you to play the game with one of your friends or family member. Your aim is to earn points by making your opponent miss his shot. The first player that reaches the defined point limit will win the game.
Pong - Old School's difficulty and ball speed increases over time as more balls are released in the game. The more balls you keep in the game, the more points you can grab. Unfortunately, Pong - Old School does not feature an online score board or an online multiplayer game mode.
